Yesterday, we shared our letter to the City Council showing EBYD’s support for Instant Runoff Voting (IRV). Today, the City Council will vote on the issue. If approved, IRV will affect both city council and other city elected official positions. Not just the mayoral race.

The move comes more than three years after Oakland voters approved the switch to instant runoffs as a way to save money.
